Gralise question

I just looked it up online as I hadn't heard of that medication before...

So Galise is the brand name of Gabapentin which is also the generic for Neurontin...

The BIG difference is that you cannot/should not interchange this with other Gabapentin medications...

So those who are on Neurontin sometimes go up to 3600mg but the Galise says that the 1800mg is the max dose.

It is a very effective nerve pain medication and many do well on it after getting through the first few weeks of side effects.

I couldn't handle the Neurontin and moved over to Cymbalta that I took for a few years until my last fusion actually got rid of most of the nerve pain so I could cut out that medication for now. Although I've been having more again lately after my flare up of my lumbar herniations...but getting by for now.

So you will hear both good/bad things about this med but realize that everyone is different. It's always important to go in with a great attitude and give a new medication (barring any emergent reactions) at least a month to see how it works for you. I usually take anything I read with a grain of salt.
