...that was a good post Rose! I'm glad you are the type of patient who is aware of their surroundings and can make adjustments when the time is needed. This one of the things I do when I see my PCD...and I usually ask how he is doing and may hop on a subject that I know he is interested in.
We were in the middle of an appointment here a while back, and my Dr told us that he had three patients that week that they found cancer in. He was heartbroken!...and we could tell that he respected and cared for these patients. My wife and I just listened, and let him get it off his chest....he had a need to share it, so we forgot about ourselves and engaged in the conversation with him.
We need to remember that Dr's see case after case of patients that are seeking their help, and that can be a lot of stress on them.
Rose your caring actions for him...will help cement your relationship...and that cannot be a bad thing. Good job!
