Introducing myself

Hi all, I just wanted to say hello before paging thru all the pages. My name is Brenda and I suffer from out of control sciatic pain stemming from two slipped disks, stenosis and arthritis. I just went for an update MRI to see how much, if any, additional damage the last two years have caused.
Doc is considering surgery and I guess I'm here to get a jump on some info *sigh*
I see him again on Wednesday and am hoping I'll understand more of what's going on with me

Thanks for the intro post... welcome to HW's Chronic Pain forum. I'm sorry that you need to be here, too.... but I hope you'll find it to be as supportive and encouraging as I do.

I have sciatica as well.... and it can cause excruciating pain. How long have you been dealing w/ this?

Anyway, glad to have you aboard.... let us know if you have any questions... and, as David said - please update after your doctor's appointment.

Are you receiving treatment for your pain, such as pain meds?…maybe physical therapy?…or Epidurals?
