Survivors....Monday!

I was supposed to be in the hospital today - having my hysterectomy and other junk.... but we were all deathly sick w/ a stomach virus the past week - and I wasn't able to get a needed clearance before surgery (basically, a biopsy). So.... that's on the schedule for this week.... so that I can "reschedule" this dang surgery and get on w/ things. I'm thinking the reschedule won't happen until after Christmas - but who knows. It probably depends on the results of the biopsy and so forth.

On a positive note - I've had 4 days of feeling wonderfully - both health/pain wise... and had lots of good times w/ family and friends.

I'm trying to just be grateful for those good days and take each day as it comes.... but it's just hard because I know those "good days" don't last. Anyway, hard to describe.... but just more of my journey of trying to life in the moment and trying not to let the bad days get me down so much. It's hard, though.... and an ongoing process!

Anyway.... thinking of you all... Praying for safety for anyone on the east coast, during this upcoming storm.

My right hand is so swollen, which I think is the RA, and have to wait until Friday to see the doctor. Scared and trying to see what next will happen.
One good thing is Halloween on Wednesday and I'm looking forward to seeing all the cute costumes.
My daughter is ill and I'm so far from her, hope she got into the clinic and I'm fumming mad at CVS. As she went to there minute clinic and think its strep yet they did not prescribe her an antibotic and she has a heart condition, so I might go after them. So mad.

Not too much new here. Got over the flu virus I had last week. Head pain back down to its normal 7/10 as opposed to a 9.

Visited with the kids and grandkids on the weekend.

Nothing much over the next two weeks. Preparing for my upcoming cruise now.

Mid Nov. I have three appointmets (neurologist, psychologist, neurosurgeon) for the occipital nerve stim for my head pain.

Evening all, long weekend, I was throwing up each evening since friday, doc says probably a med problem, I had asked last month about trying melatonin to sleep and they said no problem, and since that's the only new thing, and I've had over 6 bouts in the last 2 weeks, not including this weekend, it's apparently a problem lol. So no more of that. Pretty boring weekend otherwise, trying to work on the little man's potty training, and finally picked up his pictures that were taken at the end of last month, they look awesome! So I had to go by Walmart and get some frames after my appointment today. I'll post aboutthe appointment in another thread.

This week is just the same old thing, other than Halloween, which I was asked to attend a Halloween ball tomorrow night, so I have to try to pin on my tux tomorrow, and possibly fake a couple dances, but it should be fun. Then Wednesday, my brother has offered to take the little man trick-or-treating, I'd like to go, but have to see how I feel, its really not that much walking, our town does trunk-or-treating downtown, where you get candy out of the back of people's cars, instead of going door to door, it's a lot safer, since all the candy distributors get fingerprinted by the police dept beforehand, and there's no alcohol allowed, last year it took me and my son 3 hours to hit up half of them, and go through 3 of the haunted houses.

Hope everyone has a good week, and all the parents instil the "parent tax" on the candy, as I will be doing for a majority of my son's candy lol.

Loretta!…I'm glad to hear that you have survived the storm, and was wondering about you. Thanks for letting us know how you are doing. I'm worried about Snowbunny as well, and have not heard back from her yet. She did email me and said she was worried and we may not hear from her for a few days, especially if they lost power.

I hope the rest of the members are doing ok through all of this mess. What a whooper of a storm that was, and the effects will be around for a very long time as folks try to put their lives back together. I feel for all that have been effected.
