Hi Tcw and welcome to the chronic pain forum. Wow, sounds like you have had a time with the dr not listening much to what you had to tell him. It is so frustrating when they do not listen. I know that many times the drs will not remove a Bakers cyst as they claim they will come back. Have you thought about seeing a dr that deals with knees only? That may be something for you to consider since you are still having so many problems with your knee. After my first knee surgery my ortho sent me to dr that handled knees only and that made all the difference in the world. At least he was honest enough to say something is wrong with your knee and I do not know what it is and this was after he had done surgery on my knee.
I don't know when you had the injection in your hip, but usually if a nerve has been hit the pain appears shortly thereafter. You did not say when the pain began. Do you have a primary care dr that you can go to about the burning in the foot? There are several medications they can give you for nerve pain, regular narcotics do not have much effect on nerve pain.
Anyway, this is my two cents for what its worth, lol. Some of the others will pop on here and perhaps someone else will have some better thoughts for you. Welcome aboard. Susie
