Hello all, I made my first post last week to this group and was quiet surprised at the poeple that actually listened to my complaining (whining)! It has been a long hard week for me. It started with neck pain that radiated down my left shoulder and arm. My left fingers feel as though they have been asleep and just cannot wakeup! The neck pain travels up and triggers my migraines "Ughh" and it travels down my spine between my shoulder blades and just makes me miserable. about Tuesday the pain travelled down into my lower back and into my right leg. Not sure how to take this. I have never dealt with this before. The only way I know how to decribe it is the movie jaws, when the shark comes up out of the water and takes a bite, it is not a muscle spasm- but rather a more intense pain that the steady pain I am all ready having. I went to see my PCP wednesday morning, for bawling like a 2 year old and trying to explain myself I think she understood most of it. She gave me a shot of solu-medrol and a shot of phenergan with stadal and called in a bunch of meds and I came home and went to bed. I was able to sleep for about 8 hours during the day. But as soon as I was up and moving around the pain was back. I had an Mri tonight at 6:15 on my back, but won't know results until next wednesday morning. All I have to say is I have lived with CP alot of my life, but you back sufferers take the cake. There is no other pain comparable to that of back pain, my hat goes off to you- I honestly don't know how you people open your eyes in the morning knowing that as soon as you move the the Pain monster will have a horrible hold on you. Please know are all in my prayers. I do not want to head down this road of travel.
