Constant pain in left nostril!

I've been getting this horrible pain in my left nostril for ages now, it's not always there but i'll get it either like every hour, or sometimes less than every 5 minutes - it varies. Not sure how else to explain it but you know when you get chlorine water up your nose, or when you snort something, that's the kind of pain i keep getting. There's no swelling or bumps or anything, just the pain from deep inside. I have no idea what it is and i'm not yet registered at a medical centre so i can't see anyone about it just yet. And just as a side note I have once snorted MDMA (although that was in my right nostril), and i am a smoker, I don't think that could have anything to do with it but just incase anyone knows more than me i thought it might be useful to mention! help if any medics or anyone knows what could be wrong with me.

See an Ear Nose and Throat doc if you can. I am not a doctor, but have had plenty of sinus issues and a sinus surgery and reconstruction of the septum. Sounds like a possible cyst, or maybe even a completely blocked sinus cavity, but that depends on if it's on the inside (the septum, or the thing that separates the nostrils) or the outside (skin side) or deeper in. Inside could be a deviated septum. Fairly common. Or it could even be a dental or an eye issue. Lots of nerves there, and sometimes what's going on in one place causes pain in another. An x-ray should tell a lot.

Or, if it's on the outside (and I've had this happen to me) an ingrown hair inside the nose. I was about 18. That hurt like a mother. Everyone has hairs inside the nose. Traps dust and foreign objects and whatnot. This one decided not to cooperate. This sounds gross, I know, but it ended up as a blackhead on the outside of my nose. When I popped it, there was still something black there. I got tweezers and pulled about a 2" hair out, all coiled up, then the pain was gone. I still get the gibblies when I think about that one.
