Monday Check-In

Since it's here, my morning will also be a little hectic, I have to get a ride down the hill to get my prescription for the patches, which were approved last week. My doctors assistant said she called the pharmacy for me, to make sure they'd have them in stock, I guess they're holding them for me. Then I have to go birthday shopping for the little man, can't believe he's gonna be 3 on Wednesday, I remember when he was born, just staring into those little curious eyes for over an hour, while they stitched and glued my ex wife back up.

Tuesday night I'll be baking the cake, my grandma brought over a duncan heins boxed mix the other day, strawberry flavored. Then Wednesday I'll be making lasagna, I have all the ingredients for homemade, but I have a Stouffer's in the freezer as a backup, if my back is feeling as bad as it has been all weekend.

No plans for the rest of the week, just relaxing, and waiting for some blankets to come in from amazon.. BBBBRRRRRRRR!!! It's been freezing here the last week, it's 31° out right now.

Its a zoo here this morning. 2 teenagers trying to kill each other. My 12 year old winding the dog and puppy up and Hubby just left with our 9 year old for speech therapy. I love my kids however days off from school can be a killer. I only have 4, Tina I have no idea how you can do it with 8. lol

Its been crazy around here for the last couple of weeks. We're in the process of refinancing our mortgage to get out from under the 9.5% interest we've been paying. I wasn't thrilled with our appraisal, can't believe we've lost over $30,000 in value in the last 12 years. And thats even with putting a 14x 28 addition and new kitchen in. We finally close tomorrow morning.

We did have some free time on Saturday and I was feeling okay, so we took the kids down and dug surf clams. We ended up with 86lbs of them. Of course we probably should have payed attention to how far away we were from the van. The 2 mile walk back was horrible. And even though I feel like I've been run down it was great to see the kids having a good time.

Going to be a busy week. We have closing at 9 tomorrow morning and I also have to have my 9 year old over to the doc for her physical at 9:30. Should be an interesting drive. lol Hubby has to be to work at 1 tomorrow for an overtime shift. And I have our son's conference at school at 4:20.

Best is after 2 months of waiting the furnace guy is coming out Wednesday morning with our new furance. I can not wait to have heat. Its been freezing at night. Once thats installed I can finally start planning our youngest's b-day party. She turned 9 on the 5th but I didn't want to have a bunch of kids here without heat.

I think thats about it this week. Have a follow up with the rheumy next week and my PCP for my quarterly blood work.

Matt, Happy Birthday to your son. They grow up so quick.

Last week was hard on me, I got sick before my big appointment with my Vertigo Specialist and he was mixed on giving me an antibotic, but I finally got it and doing better, but having breathing difficulties and coughing, so anyways this specialist has ordered up ENG testing (vertigo) in December and I think he might be suspectful of Meniere's, but we'll see after the testing. For now I just want to be feeling a whole lot better and not coughing, my peak flows are good but hey when I had pneumonia two years ago they were good too...Hubby did get me out a little on Saturday, but I'm still resting up from it, I remember when I had no problems going out and could spend the whole day shopping or window shopping, don't know what I'll do with Christmas, this year I'm just depressed. Daughter can't come home for Thanksgiving...

Well after pushing myself way beyond my limits last week, my weekend was a bit bumpy. Hubby wanted to do some shopping for some BIG ticket items and wanted me present to approve of the purchases. Therefore, Saturday, Sunday, and today, we were out and about. Which totally wiped me out, I was already tired.

This evening I'm sitting here in terrible pain. My PCM who prescribes my narcotics did agree to allow me to increase my afternoon dose of methadone from 5mg to 10mg. So I will taking 20mg daily now, it will take a bit for it to build up in my system, but hopefully soon I will feel some much needed relief.

As for this week, tomorrow I need to see the dentist, I broke a filling and tooth last week. On Thursday I will be having a stress test done via medication. My Cardiologist feels because of my oxygen requirements, he doesn't want me on the tread mill. The test will be done in the nuclear medicine dept. Then on Friday I will get my 3rd loading dose of Benylsta . I hope I handle this infusion better.

I can tell the Benylsta is affecting me, I have moments where I can't sit still. Then I feel so depressed that I don't even want to get out of bed. I'm irritable and very touchy. I was pre warned about these types of side effects. Six patients from the clinical trials committed suicide while taking this drug. We increased my cymblata to the max dose. My PCM may have to add something like Ativan. When she called me today I didn't mention it to her, she will be on leave (vacation) until after Thanksgiving. She is my Sole Provider, only she can right scripts for any controlled substances, unless I'm admitted to the hospital.

Hopefully, I'll make it thru the week w/o a lot of drama. Hubby's gone to bed already not feeling well, hope I don't get sick.
