Hello, and I hope everyone reading this is having a good day so far....and that the day will continue to be a good day!
I used to post on this forum a whole lot, but a very demanding job has prevented me from posting as much as I used to. Anyway, I just have a question for anyone that can provide me with some feedback because my mind feels cloudy and not completely able to figure out what to do about my current situation.
I currrently have a really bad headache that will not go away, despite several doses of Excedrin, Advil, Aleve, and Lortab. I have kept ice plastered to my head for a few hours now, and even the ice doesn't seem to work. I have migraines, but this headache is different. There was no aura, and also, the pain is different than what it's like when I experience a migraine. But, to just cover all bases, I went ahead and took Imitrex, but it didn't help at all. I will take another one in few hours when I can take it again.
I wonder if this headache is due to the fact that my head was hit this morning. Has anyone ever had a headache after hitting your head on something? At 6 this morning, I was getting out of bed to go to the kitchen to get my can of Coca-Cola (my morning staple), and my right foot stepped right on top of my spaniel. Usually, he sleeps in the half bath off my bedroom, and I don't know why he was sleeping right beneath me on the floor beside the bed. Anyway, instinctively, I pulled my weight off him, and when my other leg hit the floor, I lost my balance and fell forward. This is when my head hit the side of my dresser. The point of impact hurt for a little while but went away until about 2 hours later. It began as a small headache and then has grown throughout the day.
I have to work today, and my boss is already down my coat tail because I've had to call in sick once a month due to my chronic problems with endometriosis. Last week, she treatened to fire me if I miss another day, so I can't call in sick today. But, I don't know how I'm going to make it with this headache.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to lessen this headache? I would really appreciate your feedback!! I don't know how much longer I can take this headache, and plus, I can't miss work.
My dog has a heart of gold becasue he has been so worried about me ever since this morning's accident. He absolutely won't leave my side. From here on out, he's going to get in the bed with me at night so I don't trip over him anymore (-:
Thank you everyone. I am wishing for all of you a day filled with less pain.
Best always.
