You need to see a Podiatrist...they are the ones to diagnose and treat a Morton's Neuroma. These are very common and they will try a series of steroid injections to see if that helps....and then if it doesn't (after 2-3 of them) then the surgery is very simple. It takes about
an hour and you only have twilight anesthesia (not general) so home in a few hours and off your foot for a week and then good as new!!!
They don't need to do a MRI of your foot to diagnose this....and I know you are getting a MRI of your spine and pelvis...but I can't imagine they are just going to shoot pics of your entire body as that would be extremely expensive and usually not covered by insurance.
A Podiatrist should know within a few minutes of examining you if it's a MN....
I asked in the other thread but what type of Dr. are you seeing and who is the one ordering the MRI?
