Hard to believe that its been a full month since my wife had her back surgery.
She's doing much better, starting to do more care for herself, especially taking showers all on her own and no longer needing her shower seat. She only uses a cane if walking outside or in a store, doesn't need it in the house. Most days, she isn't taking any script pain meds, on rare days, she will take one or two loratabs in 24 hours, but that is hardly happening anymore.
She goes back on Jan. 3rd to her surgeon, and its her hope that he will clear her to at least go back to work with "light" duty.
The surgeon's office called today with a pleasant surprise, they said that Blue Cross paid 100% for everything, so they are returning to us, about 400 bucks in down payments we had to come up with before and right after her surgery. That is going to be a big help in our tight money situation.
Just glad she has made the turn in her recovery road, and hopefully will be back at work, happy in her world of nursing.
