I am 63 y.o.female, not overweight and have right hip pain - in groin, upper thigh and hip. It does not go down my leg. I think I hurt it doing a bicycle exercise on the floor. I am advised not to take anti-inflammatory meds due to past bleeding stomach ulcers. I did take 6 pk of steroids which maybe mildly helped. I have finished the steroids.
Pain is sitting, standing, walking and when asleep at night....not constantly but enough that I want some relief. It is definitely felt everyday; some days being better than others. Achy pain that sometimes feel like a catch. Sitting down helps when standing but the pain remains there. Painful to stand a long time or walk.
X-ray showed "unremarkable" meaning no fracture or break.I didn't think it would be and am thankful, but I think it's some kind of bursitis, arthritis etc.. Doctor has suggested PTherapy or go to orthopedic man. Do these symptoms sound familiar to any of you? What is your suggestion?
