JLA 1969, yes, I had a bleeding ulcer several years ago, it came without any warning, or pain. It was on a Sunday, I had been feeling pretty odd all morning, and started feeling really droopy, then I started feeling really sick to my stomach. I got home from morning service at church, and had to run straight to the bathroom to throw-up, it was all blood. I was very fortunate that my stupidity didn't get me, or someone else hurt, I called my parents, who were out of town, and left them a voicemail letting them know what was going on, and then drove myself to the ER. When I walked through the double door at the ER, I fell flat on the floor, out like a lightbulb. Woke up and I was on a gurney. To my amazment, the doe-doe running the place wanted an Xray, and the Xray tech had me stand up in front of the machine for the Xray, woke up on a gurney again (when you're loosing blood and you stand up, you loose conciousness). Two giant 12 gauge IVs and 9 bags of blood later, they airlifted me to a bigger hospital, where I had to stay for 2 weeks, had an MRI, CT, colonoscopy, endoscopy, and they were about to do a reversal of my gastric bypass, because they couldn't find the bleeding, but they finally found it in the 2nd endoscopy and got it cauderized, it was at the junction, where my tiny stomach meets my small intestine.
Snowbunny, I have to agree with you, it's getting pretty maddening about the lung situation. My back surgeon was trying to set some things up, but it all got canceled, no medical insurance, and no cash to pay for it, and work comp blatently said "it's not work related, we don't have to do anything about it". I'm inching closer to getting Medi-Cal (our version of Medicaid) and actually hit a breakthrough last week. They said they wanted my divorce going agian before they'd approve me (I really don't know why), and then they said they wanted it completed, and wanted an order for my ex to pay child support before they'd approve me, this is all bogus to me, because single mothers get approved for this all the time, and they just let the child support get behind for years! Anyways, I finally found my ex-wife, so I can finally file for a hearing for judgment, and have her properly process-served so that the judge won't dismiss it due to lack of disclosure. I should have the new hearing papers completed by Monday, and then I can file them, and have her served by the end of next week, and, I'm filing for an ex-parte (rushed) hearing, so hopefully the judge will approve that, and I'll be able to have the hearing within 3 business days of having my ex served with the papers. Oh, the best part, she wont be able to contest anything... she's in jail!
The appointment last week went well, I don't know how it will pan out, the home is ran by the fraternity that I'm a member of, and there's over 20k members here in California, and only 75 beds in the facility, so there's a waiting list, I should get a letter withing a week or two saying where I rank on the waiting list, I'm not gonna hold my breath on this one, the waiting list has well over 500 people on it, though, it changes daily, because most of the people on it are in their final days, and don't stay on the list for very long, or they get placed in a different facility. We'll see what happens, I'll be sure to let you guys know as soon as the letter comes in.
