had hip injection 12 days ago helped a little just hope it don t start back like it was

It is not uncommon for injections for pain to last up to a couple of months and then needing them to repeated. It is also not uncommon to need a few injections before building up to that few months interval. Just thought you should know.

The fact that you have gotten some relief and that it has lasted almost 2 weeks as of now is very positive and getting more as needed is very justified.

Hi Deb and I dont think I have welcomed you to this forum before so thats first! Also wanted to say that Jim hit it on the nose as every injection I have had over the last 12 years varies in how long it takes to kick in and how long it actually provides relief and many times my Dr does them in rounds of 3 spread out over the course of 2-3 weeks and that gives me even better longer relief since just as the 1st is wearing down some the 2nd is peaking and so forth.

Alot of folks claim to get no relief and some say it makes their pain worse? I on the other hand wouldnt live without them. It is simply part of my chronic pain treatment plan and I look forward to the time to start them as it means relief I dont normally have with just my meds.
