Hi everyone

Hope you all had a good week. As for me, well at long last I am seeing light at the end of that long tunnel. I have turned a corner and am doing so much better. I have a long long way to go, but after the past year even doing some very light housework feels amazing. Whoever would have thought that would be the case lol!!

After being sick all last weekend, decided to take it easy this past weekend. A little shopping, dinner with the grandkids, and a lot of resting time. Think that is what my poor body need in the end.

Trying to keep a lighter schedule this week as well.

Saw my orthopod today for continued pain, grinding, clunking in shoulder. Second op was last June, first op was Oct the year before. I've had shoulder pain (and lots of other pain) for nearly 4 years since being in a wreck. I've had loads of PT which improved passive range of motion and strength. X-ray today showed screws in place. I had an injection last visit 6 weeks ago. I'm on tramadol and Celebrex which lower constant pain but don't touch the stabs and grating when I reach, as in putting away dishes.

Doc said he's not concerned about the grinding, but he doesn't know what's causing the pain which shouldn't be happening. If it doesn't go away in a month I'll get more tests. Neither of us want more surgery.

Been fighting a sinus infection all week and have been in bed. The sinus pain is adding to the already bad head pain. Got some antiotics and nasal spray today. Will have to catch up on house cleaning as soon as i am feeling better. No appt. Hopefully well enough to go to a scrapbooking class on Thurs.

Morning David,

I want to say thank you for your support. It's been a long few days here. I had a Dr really pull something underhanded on me on Sunday.

When my hubby arrived I was sitting in my bed sobbing, the Dr spoke with my hubby, but of course, hubby wasn't to pleased that he had upset me so. Once, I'm totally able to discuss it w/o getting upset I'll put a post on it.

I hope to go home around lunch time. I need to see interventional radiology this AM. My port isn't giving blood return. I need my port working, it's my life line. I'm very weak, and short of breath. My hemoglobin is dropping big time. I need a blood transfusion desperately, but I need to hold off until my bone marrow biopsy is done on Friday.

So, hopefully, I'll go home later today. Then will be admitted on Thursday at NIH, have my procedure done on Friday, get some blood and hopefully go home on Saturday. My ribs hurt so bad, but I know I can get thru this.

Just so you know, while I've been here in the hospital, I've been reading posts since you joined HW. You have had such a tough journey. I'm currently up to where you are getting ready to start the salvation RT. I intend to read your whole story, you ARE an inspiration to me. We both are in tough spots, I wish you the best and I hope that we may be able to help each other as we continue our journey along our difficult paths.

Thanks for your support, just knowing that you "get it", gives me a sense of well being. Hope you have a good and low pain day.

Yesterday I went to my PCP and got a new muscle relaxer called Dantrolene. I have to increase the dose pretty gradually. Took the first dose yesterday evening- feels very strange to know I'm taking a muscle relaxer and still having spasms, not used to that!

Yesterday was such a good day for me.

After the drs appt (we covered everything I wanted to), we went and got tires for the truck which we desperately needed.

Then we went to a huge outdoor flea market. Where I walked until I had blisters and raw spots. I haven't been able to do that in a long time!

Then we went to the grocery store and finally back to the pharmacy to pick up meds. (I took a break at the store and used a motorized cart Lol)

What made yesterday so amazing is that when we drove up to the flea market, I had this horrible feeling of dread. I thought "oh no, we didn't bring my chair and this place is huge" and THEN I wanted to cry because my second thought was "I'm 25 years old I should be able to walk a d*** flea market!"

My boyfriend said. "let's just walk and see how far we get" and I did!

I felt so proud of myself coming home, even though I was hurting.

And thinking about yesterday is going to get me through this horrible rainy day today.

I'm so glad to have found you all, people who will be able to appreciate why such a small thing to most people meant so so much to me. :)
