pain

Ever since I arrived back in PA on 3-2-13 My left leg has been  in terrible pain up to a 9.

 

I have an appt with my PM doc on 3-20-13.  I am miserable.

I have had a rough evening with an increase in back pain, and here I am in the wee hours of the morning just waiting for the Sandman! LOL …I don't think he is coming tonight!

It sounds like you do much better in Florida and I have to agree with Suzane here about staying in Florida longer. I know thats probably not possible for you, but it would seem to be a goal one of these days?

Hope you can get the pain back under control, and the Dr will script something for pain relief soon!

The weather has been up and down up and down here in my neck of the woods of FL.

It's been cold throughout the night and into the morning, then either warms up a bit headed into afternoon, or it stays chilly and rains. I don't know about you, but rain wreaks havoc on my body.

But I know that it's definitely warmer down here, even if only by 10 degrees give or take. My dad lives in CT, and there have been times when the difference between here and there has been 7 degrees. CRAZY!

Keeping my fingers crossed that the weather will be kind to you. Especially until you can get to that appt. Each day feels like an eternity when you're sitting at a nine.

Sorry you are hurting so bad, bet you can't wait for the 20th to get here. Hope you get some answers and some quick relief.

Betsey, I hope the new regimen provides you relief! I have some leftover lido patches from when I pulled a muscle a few years ago and I use them when I've exhausted all my other "at home" attempts at relief. They are pretty hit or miss for me. Sometimes they help, sometimes not :/
I hope they bring you relief, along with the cream.

And as to the last statement, you are not alone! Sometimes I get irritated like "how could he think to ask when I feel the way I feel" of course I never say that because I don't want to hurt his feelings or take it in a way that he is wrong for lovimg me
I still talk about this subject with my counselor often. But for now, it is what it is.... and I try to show him I still love him even if it's not by "snuggle time"

I will speak as a guy on the subject you touched on. With all my prostate cancer issues, surgeries, and radiation, I am more fortunate than many of the other men in my situation. I have lost none of my "abilities" in that department. However, with my severe CP and fatigue, that subject is often the last thing on my mind. My wife is very understanding and supportive, when I am feeling too sore or pained, we still make time for plain old snuggling time. In 2 weeks, will have been married to the same woman for 39 years, and some old fashioned snuggling and cuddling time still fits the bill, when one or both of us aren't quite in the mood to be more frisky. There, I think I said that without being too graphic, lol.

So I do understand, even as a guy, where you are coming from. Hope you are feeling a bit better.
