I just talked with Susie again this evening and asked her about
what I could share with all of you here at the forum, she has so much going on, and from every thing she has told me, I think she is really very lucky to still be here! She is having a major problem with blood clots, and of the many problems she is having to deal with, one of them is a Pulmonary Embolism. Tomorrow afternoon she is going to have an IVC/Blood Clot Filter implanted, hopefully to keep any future blood clots from reaching her lungs and heart. So definitely keep the prayers coming her way!

Thank you all for the well wishes and prayers. Please keep them coming. I am very lucky to be here today per my drs. I was completely unresponsive when I got here and had to go on a vent. My cardiac enzymes showed I had a mild heart attack but with no damage, plus I threw a blood clot. I have a wicked infection called c diff that I am getting treated for. My lung dr says I have no residual left with my lungs from the copd. They are putting in a filter today so if I throw anymore clots the filter will catch it. I knew I was sick and have been actually since this past dec. when I was in the hospital. Thank you whitebeard and Tina for me. Will try to post as I can.

Susie man are you going through a lot. I'm so sorry that you're so sick. I too like you have issues and was found unresponsive and ended up on a vent. So I can totally relate to how you feel. I haven't had a blood clot in my lungs but I've had two separate ones. I still have my latest clot and I'm now on coumadin for life. My clot is so big that the vascular surgeon is unwilling to even to attempt to remove it. It's in my superior vena cava and the plan is to leave it alone, unless my life is in danager, then they'll attempt to remove it.
I hope the surgery goes well for the filter and I pray that it works and you have NO more clots in the future. Sorry to hear about
the heart attack, it just has been bad news all around, but that you have no damage is a GREAT thing.
The C-diff is a tough one, I've had it 3 times over the past few years. Don't be surprised if you need several rounds of antibiotics to get rid of it. It's a nasty bug and hard to treat and of course you most likely picked it up from being in the hospital.
You'll be in my prayers and I hope that your pain gets less and that you heal quickly from everything. Know that we're all here for you and we are pulling for you.
Hugs,
Barbara

Thank you so much for the prayers & well wishes, they go a very long way you know. I got to come home from the hospital and I am glad to be home. At the same time I have this nagging type of fear and I don't know why. I guess its just a cumulative effect of what the body has gone through the past few days. I am very, very tired I know that. Have several dr appts to schedule.
I am on Prednisone for the lungs & was having a very difficult time getting my breath, felt like a dog panting to get a breath. They switched two of my BP meds while in the hospital and its the one with the diurectic in it, something I have to have. Why this dr took the diurectic off is beyond me. Normally three days of steroids and I am in CHF, so last night I said the heck with it, I took one of the diurectics I use PRN. What a difference in the breathing once the fluid started coming off. I took a half of one this am and I can breathe without panting. I have had this happen before when an unknown dr to me decide to take me off the diurectic & then the PCP put me right back on it. I cannot believe how swollen I am all over. Chipmunk cheeks for sure, lol and eating everything in the house.
Again thanks everyone!!!!
