…well how about
being two weeks late!
….yep!…we have had a very busy last two weeks!…something on almost every evening, and this week has started about
the same. Started mowing as soon as I got home….and we both mowed 6 acres.
We also picked up a ATV 4-wheeler last week….which is for Mrs. Screams, and her son who will be 12 this Thursday.
Friday night I had a Mens steak feed (Optimist club)…and it was my 7yr old grandsons first steak feed. We had a blast!
Each person got 32oz of steak, a baked potato, baked beans…and bread. A
cookie sheet was used for our plates. Awesome!
I had another Dr appointment, and again we upped my meds, and seems to have been the trick so far. I also saw my skin Dr, and she wants a suspicious mole taken off, so that is scheduled for the 20 or so….I cant remember, and my wife will keep me in line with the actual date. I have had Melanoma, and is nothing to mess around with, so we keep an eye out for it.
My brother in-law had his prostate removed, as they found cancer in it. All went well, and he is now home recovering for several weeks.
Mrs now officially has been diagnosed with lumbar spine problems, and I believe it may be serious. At the moment she is doing PT. We will see if this helps…and she is a bit stubborn when it comes to treating with pain meds. Sooner or later she will give in.
I also am going to have more weekends off for a while, as overtime has been cut back at work, and I welcome the time off, as we have lots to do around the house and property. As I have been feeling better, I have become more active at home, and running around town here and there the last two weeks. I have simply worn myself out the last two weeks, and I spent most of Saturday and Sunday sleeping when possible. Last Friday at work could not have been worse, as I accidentally scrapped close to $90,000 worth of parts. It took the wind out of my sails! I was so disappointed in myself….and was caused by a simple but costly oversight. My boss shrugged it off, and said I would jot be written up, since I did not have a quality problem. It was only the 2nd or 3rd time I have scrapped parts in my 35yrs of employment with the company. I hope it never happens again! I was just sick over it.
Rain,…rain, and more rain here. There is a chance every day this week for rain! At least we got the yard mowed tonight.
Oh and some of you may be wondering if I road the ATV?….well the answer is yes!…not real fast….well maybe just a time or two!
Since we live on 12 acres, we have plenty of room to tear up the back pasture. It took a bit for my stepson to get used to it, but within 2hrs of ridding, he was doing pretty well with it. Now…Mrs. Scream is the one to worry about
….she was zipping around the yard at frighting speeds. She loves that thing…but we will see how bad it messes with her back.
…Ok enough of me! I hope you all had a decent weekend, and continue to the rest of the week.
