I just wanted to take this opportunity to wish all the other CP Moms are great Mothers day weekend.

As a Mom to 6 and now Grandmother to 3 it is definitely my greatest accomplishment in life. They are my rock,the source that's pushed me thru this mindless pain on many days.

This day is a celebration of my profound joy in being blessed by having them in my life.

May all of you have a wonderful and joyous Mothers Day!!

Happy Mother's Day to all the great Mom's and Grandmother's here. Wishing you all a great day. May your day be full of joy and love and very low pain levels.

I will be going with hubby to daughter's college to start to bring items home from her dorm room. Will be interesting to see if she remembers its Mother's Day.

She did send a card last year, so it will be interesting to see what she does this year. Hubby reminded me that he didn't start acknowledging Mother's Day, for his Mom, until he married me he was at age 24 then.

Told him that wasn't an excuse for our daughter as I always remember since I was 7. She is however, a lot like her Dad, so I may need to give some leeway.

Anyway, enjoy ladies.

Thought I would share this. Today is Mother's Day and my now 15 yr olds birthday. She went to see Gatsby with friends last night and stayed over at her best friends house. My son who recently moved from Ky and lives with me had plans with his current Gf and was staying over.

Sometime last night they realized I was home with only my faithful felines. I started getting texts and phone calls asking if I wanted them to come home? They didnt take no for an answer. They persisted for an hour! !

They kept saying "Mom we don't want you to be alone " its Mother's Day!! We all have plans to meet at IHOP for breakfast at 10.

I tried to make them see after raising 6 kids and babysitting my 8 year old granddaughter ever since she was born that a entire night alone to do as I please or better yet do nothing is a great gift. One I've gotten very
little of in 30 years of raising kids and will cherish every moment of.

They just couldn't get it. smhair

Happy Mothers Day to all moms out there!

I meant to post a link of how and who started Mother's Day, but fell asleep before I got it posted. I do know it was established in 1907.
If someone here can find the information on it and post the link, it would be appreciated by all.
