Just wondering how you and your daughter are. I couldn't find anywhere that said if you went to get checked out after the accident.

I didn't see you again last night either so I got a little worried.

Hope your both OK and your just enjoying the holiday weekend.

Hoping to hear from you soon.

Thanks for checking on me and my daughter. I did go in and was seen. The Dr took X-rays of my left hip and said there wasn't a fracture. He did say I have osteoporosis by the way the X-ray looked.

I knew this already, that's why I wanted them to see me. He basically said I have a contusion of my hip and leg. Told me to ice it for the first 72 hours then switch to heat. The accident happened Wednesday at 6:30 pm.

He said if I didn't feel better in a couple of days to follow up with my primary. I see my Rheumy on Wednesday and my primary on Thursday. Otherwise, he didn't give me anything else. I'll wait and see what my Docs say next week.

Daughter is perfectly fine, she wouldn't even consider going in. As for the rest my oral surgery site is still swollen. They did see me Thursday afternoon said it looked good. Will see them after I see my primary on the 30th. The antibiotics are ripping my stomach apart and I'm still on soft foods only.

As for my lupus/RA it's really flaring, I can't take my methotrexate for at least another 3 weeks. I'm supposed to go down another 1mg of prednisone on the 1st of June. There is NO WAY I can do that, I just feel to bad. My left foot is so swollen when I go to bed at night. The pain is at a 9/10 by then too.

I can barely walk on that foot, I'm fatigued so bad and honestly I truly do not know just how much more I can take. I'm ready to jump ship, plus things seem real tense around the house for some reason.

Anyway, thank you so much for asking about me. I'm feeling really down and alone right now. Other than my HW family I feel like I have no one that cares or wants to even listen.

I hope you are doing ok Vickie. I hope that you'll be able to enjoy the long weekend. Prayng that you're having low pain levels and happy days. I'll keep you updated when I can. Hope you are sleeping right now.

I think I'm gonna try to sleep. Thanks again and I'll stop by later today.

No to the sleeping but thanks for hoping. I've been a recliner sleeper for a good many years now. With such bad knee problems I can only sleep with them bent to almost 90 degrees and use a pillow between them. I've COPD and have to sleep at virtually 60 head up to breath and even on the memory foam I get in some of the darnedest positions at night trying to accomadate my breathing and knees that my back problems end up killing me so its easier to stay in the chair.

Drawback to that is I burn up! With all that going on who can sleep? I nod off from sheer exhaust during the night but not for long.

Im glad you at least got checked out. Better to play it safe right?

Its so frustrating when the very things we have to have to bring a small amount of relief to us ends up causing us more problems. I've spent so many years on anti-inflams trying to keep my knees working that I destroyed my stomach and even to the point of a bleeding ulcer awhile back. Optimal would be stopping them but then I wouldn't be able to walk causing a whole new set of problems.

I know the Drs have to advise against taking them due to the risks involved but knowing those risks and knowing my quality of life without them I choose to carry on. I think only another CPer understands the choice. Give me a little good quality of life then a whole lot of bad anyday.

Those choices Barbara are sometimes very frustrating to live with for those who love and care about us. So they get mad and huffy and tiptoe around making the entire atmosphere seem electrified. Sooner or later they'll accept it and move on or decide to spit it out.

That's what's so great about having this place,relief to talk and don't have to justify anything to anyone. They already get it.

Im sorry you are stuck in so many darned if you do situations at the moment and hoping as they resolve you will catch a break for awhile. You need a good long breather!!

As for jumping ship? Ive been there to but figured with my luck I would get hung up on the side and end up fish and have fish nibbling my toes!! To me with my aversion to fish I would then have a heart attack, with all that in mind it was easier to just stay on the darn boat.

Vickie I managed to sleep maybe 3 hours. It's hard as I just can't sleep at night.

My Dad slept in a reclyiner for the last 9 years of his life, due to his congestive heart failure. I'm truly sorry that you have to sleep that way. (((hugs))).

Because of my breathing issues I sleep elevated in bed a night on three pillows. So I truly understand why you sleep in the reclyiner.

As for jumping ship you are right, I don't have the best of luck, to put it mildly. So jumping off most likely wouldn't solve anything. It's just so hard to deal at times with my issues.

I truly hope that you begin to start sleeping and feeling better.

Hi Barbara I hope you feel better really soon. I'm glad to hear that you didn't have a fracture from the accident. It sounds like you have several appointments this week. I hope they all go well for you. I have had those thoughts as well. Like you said, my luck would probably be like your's. Take care, and I hope you can enjoy the holiday.
