I happen to live in "Race City", so although I am not a NASCAR fan, I do hear the news about
that sport. I read that one of the retired drivers killed himself and that he had been depressed from a long battle with chronic pain. It made me so sad that that was the only solution he felt he had. We all know chronic pain can be depressing, but I can't help but wonder about
his support network.
This forum has been such a god send to me. I only joined a month ago, but the overwhelming support and positive attutude has lifted so much of the burden from me. Having this forum to vent to, ask questions of , or just feel not so alone has changed my outlook for the better. Being able to help someone else, and get help from you all is a blessing! I can't help but think that if that man had had the kind of support I get here he might have seen another option.
Soooooooo a huge Thank You for being there!
