I had a great appointment this morning. It was a longer one than normal since it was time for my urine test (surprise!) and he always checks the State Monitoring System on the same day as the UA to help himself remember to do it.
Remember when I told you guys how great I'm feeling since the Dentist raised my BT meds by half a pill (My PM gave me fifteen extra of my percocet to get me through my oral surgery)? Well my doctor made it an official change, but instead of taking one and a half percocet, he put me on Roxicodone, which is oxycodone minus the APAP (no more checking my otc drugs for acetaminophen now! Yippee!) with the same instructions as before, up to two a day for Breakthrough pain. He did recommend (as many of you did) that I should wait to get a second job. He thinks I should give it a few months and see how I feel. He reminded me that I did have an injection last month so this overall good feeling could be from the increase in meds or the epidural or both. I'm going to take that advice.
The best part of the visit was that he informed me that I won't have to have any more injections. He doesn't feel they are benefiting me like they should and it's not worth the spike in pain (right after the injection) or the dangers associated with epidurals for me to continue getting them.
So all and all, it was a good appointment. I am very blessed to have found them as my pain management team.
I just wanted to update you guys!
