BAM!! They took down another FL. pill mill.

After a 2 year investigation they got another one yesterday . So far the only arrests were a patient waiting to be seen who had a bottle of oxy on him and not labeled and someone working at one of the co-owners house on a unrelated warrant.

Not a lot of information yet as they say they're still in the investigating phase. They took out file cabinets and patient records and lots of meds as they proclaimed to have an inhouse pharmacy.

One phase of the investigation said they were looking into violations concerning the prescribing of amounts in excess of the legal prescribing amounts.

The businesses on either side of the clinic had numerous 911 calls for fights in parking lot,people shooting up drugs in their cars and some actually reported seeing drug deals going on.

One neighbor reported lines ranging from 20 to as many as 100 people out the front doors and said many times people would wait in their car all night so they were sure to be 1st in line.

A cheer went up from witnesses who were local businessman surrounding the clinic as police closed and padlocked the doors.

Maybe when they get them all we can return to normalcy.

That's great news! It was amazing how many pain clinic signs and advertisements there are down in FL. Before my Dr up here suggested one I was "Google'ing" and calling folks and was told "just bring an MRI or medical records and come in. No appointments and no insurance accepted". And a CVS around the corner from my house was busted for honoring a script for over 300 oxycodone IR 30mg pills a month.
