I have been undergoing test nerve ablations, just on the the left side of of my neck and shoulder. So far the cons outweigh the pros. I had my left side tested on Thursday the 6th of June. Wow- no pain during the procedure but a lot afterwards the procedure. It is now Monday and it feels like a really bad sunburn. I don.t know if I can do this all summer. But the results are well worth it. I am scheduled for june 26th for left sided testing, pray for me. There isn't enough pain med for this, although I figure Lyrica, neurotin, or Cymbalta would work better. But I can't take those. I had a rare Cymbalta liver side effect and was told no more nerve meds. I ended up in ICU with a hose down my throat with the ventilator working for me. Very scary. So I am am afraid to try again. Does anyone know how long the ablations work?
