Hi Everyone!

Thanks for all the responses. It was an easy fix... my battery went Kaput. So it could have been MUCH worse. So I won't complain.

My kids made dinner for me and homemade cards (my favorite) so it was a lovely birthday.

You got by cheap and easy if it were only the battery. My daughter's water pump job on her car recently turned into 800 bucks and my son's total brake and 4 new 17" tire job cost 1100. Battery sounds pretty good.

Wow David! I won't complain any more then! LoL... It just sucks that it happened on my birthday because all my extra money was going to renew my plate but I had to pay for the battery so I have to wait till next week. I just pray I'm not pulled over in the meantime! :-)

Thanks Chart, Loretta and FusionGirl! All these birthday greetings are totally making me forget about the car trouble! I'm so glad I found this forum... I know I've never met you all but its like a family here. Before I had no one to talk about these types of issues with because I didn't want to bore my family or discuss my meds with friends (I had a friend in Florida who always complained about her back and asked me if I had anything to "spare" after she visited me after my tubalectomy and saw my prescriptions on my bed. Lesson learned to never discuss my pain or let my meds be seen by anyone) and its so refreshing to be able to talk about things with you guys and help each other out... Or just vent! Okay so long post, short (too late!)

I'm SO glad to be starting this next year of my life with new friends! :0)
