My doctor started me on a pain reliever called Nucynta (50 mg) 3 times a day. I am having chronic right knee pain.
I took one pill and I was on a drunk ride. It played games with my mind. It wasn't as bad as Oxicodine (which I hallucinated). Vicodin makes me throw up, Oxycontin makes me throw up so he is trying me on this.
I don't see how anyone can take this 3 times a day---how do you function? I am a housewife--within 2 hours after taking 1 pill I an toast.
They said I might need surgery for my knee later next month and want some type of pain controller to work for me. Tramidol does NOTHING for me at all. I am left this this new drug.. Has anyone else felt the same way and what can I do to get through this better? I am medicine free, I don't like taking any medication, not even a Tylenol. But with the pain I need something, and if they do surgery I will need something to get me through this. But I don't know---1 pill is EXTREMELY hard to do--How I am going to do 3 a day is scary and don't I just don't know.
