We did make the trip to Charleston to visit our daughter over the Labor Day weekend. Trip down wasn't so bad (3 hrs. plus). But it was so hot, ended up being hottest weekend of the entire summer. So was really limited to what I could do. Never did much walking, no swimming, etc. We did walk on the beach Sunday late afternoon after the sun passed over, nice strong breeze helped.
Then had nice seafood dinner out on the marshes in a screened room watching the sunset.
Came home Monday, trip from hades. Took nearly 5 hours of driving, in long periods of bumper to bumper, stop and go traffic. Did not mean to plan a trip like this on a holiday weekend, bad timing.
Got home, severe pain, had to crash for 3 hours just to be functional. Even this morning, my back, both hips and both legs major pain zone.
Got to recover, as I start Oncology Rehab again tomorrow morning.
It was hard, but still a wonderful trip, don't get to see my daddy's girl very often enough, so was worth the effort.
Will be busy catch up week. Aside from PT, got a couple of biz meetings, plus this Saturday is the big Clemson game where I will be the honored guest. That will be a long day for sure.
