Dr. Finally changed pump meds

Dr. Finally change my pump meds at 100% Fentanyl at 3700 mcg per day (3.7 mg) to 1500 mcg. Fentanyl & 150 mcg. Sufentanil per day. He finally agreed tat I was too tolerant to the Fenamyl as I'd been on it now over 4 yrs. used in patch form before pump implant one yr ago last Fri.

The Sufentinal didn't actually hit my system until Wed. 9/4 at 8 AM. First 3 hrs I slept. Then I got itchy & started to hurt some about 5 PM. The dr had me come in Thurs as I had called several times. Anyway he was happy with results proving I was definitely tolerant to Fentanyl. He increased a little to 160 mcg. Sufentinal & 1600 mcg. Fentanyl.

Both the dr & I were very happy with the outcome of the med change. All was good for about three days, then Saturday I started hurting again. Went in yesterday, Dr increased again to 180 mcg. Sufen. & 1800 mcg Fentanyl. I don't feel any better and he's now only allowing me 1 Norco a day, I was taking 3 a day up until last week. Some of the problem may be because it's overcast. I always hurt more when it's cloudy.

If I call they'll want me to come back in. It's almost impossible for me to get rides anymore, except the weekly one. I don't know what to do.

So has anyone experienced these symptoms?
Initial improvement and then none. Just back to where you were?

DB I have a pump and no, I have not ever done this even back when they were ramping the pump up in the very beginning. It really is not making a lot of sense how you can get relief then suddenly no relief.

How many increases have you had since getting the pump? If not very many then my thought would be perhaps you are still on the low end of things.....Susie
