The other reason I think this is an excellent idea is because generally people only say or do something when they are angry, unhappy, or displeased. People are more apt to pick apart the negative and harp on it.
To find something positive to say and share it is different and like anyone else, I think we all need to be reminded when we are happy with a good job done!
OT: Story.... I once was driving behind a tractor trailer truck in a lot of traffic and someone on a motorcycle was driving recklessly, cutting everyone off, including this driver! The rider of the bike ended up dumping his bike in the road in front of the truck driver, cars were screeching all over, the truck driver slammed the brakes and drifted sideways down the highway (I don't know how he didn't roll). The bike slid sideways underneath the truck.
No one was hurt, but the bike rider just got up, hopped on his motorcycle and took off while the rest of us sat in shock collecting our senses.
I wrote a letter to the head of the truck driving company, provided the accident info, the license plate of the truck, time of day, everything....and I wrote a letter commending this driver on his amazing driving skills in that situation with a reckless and dangerous motorcycle,....and that in my opinion, that driver saved the rider's life where he could have potentially just driven over the dumped bike.
People will usually write to complain, but I got such a warm and welcoming letter from the company, and they told me they posted my letter for everyone to see, including the driver and his bosses! That made me feel good to acknowledge exceptional circumstances and give credit.
