If any of you recall, (I know Susie remembers!)...I was complaining about
my PT up here in NH that I started with. He's the owner of the facility and has another PT working for him who recently graduated....
....and I had watched his style (PT#2, not the owner) since September and I felt more of a kinship.
I bit the bullet, anxiety-riddled, and asked the owner to switch.
Today was day #1 with my NEW PT and I love his style! He's wonderful. I am so happy, it's like night and day. He always kept an eye on me, always gave me feedback, even if he was working on another patient, he never, ever lost sight of me or what I was doing.
He always gave me feedback, he corrected me, and best of all, he knows I want to be TAUGHT as we progress, not just be told what to do.
I feel like he respected my background, and my person. He was so thorough.
I had FUN, genuine fun! I was smiling and my eyes must have been big as saucers the whole time. I felt relaxed, happy, and still felt my butt got handed to me! I like that. I drank FOUR bottles of water during our session because we worked so hard.
With the other PT I'd not even need a sip.
Plus it gave me an impressive distraction from worrying about my biopsy results, and I wasn't prepared for that. Getting that reprieve was comforting.
Ahh, this is good!
