I saw the letter and started wondering why I would be receiving a letter from my pm that didn't look like a bill or anything I've received from them before. I even thought quickly on if I'd done something "wrong" because of the horror stories I've heard... And its a thank you for the bagels! I'm so touched! It says
Lindsey,
Thank you for remembering us with bagels. We are so appreciative of your thoughtfulness and we are grateful to have the opportunity to participate in your care.
Regards,
And then everyone signed it. I want to send a thank you letter for the thank you letter! LoL
Oh... And guess who found out her unemployment was approved today!?! I was worried because they had me fill out a questionaire about
the nature of my job loss since payroll was a factor. I was worried they would think I was trying something sneaky and would deny my claim and that's what was taking so long. But my five page letter with documented emails between me and my manager worked and I didn't even have to go to a hearing. I was super worried since its been almost nine weeks!
I am on cloud nine right now! We made it through the storm and didn't lose our home or even so much as have our cable shut off. And I'll be able to get Christmas gifts on Black Friday which is a big deal for a single mom on a budget. Everything worked out and even my pain is better managed now. I am so thankful that things turned out okay!

Not payroll... Time sheet. But its still one of those things that can look like an employee was trying to get away with something, when I wasn't.

I'd forgotten about
that.I knew it wasn't going to be something too bad but I'd forgotten about
you taking them a treat.
That's cool of them. They'll probably be really nice when you go in.
Hope everyone has a relaxing low-pain evening,
Rick

Thanks Rick, Mark and Tina! It really was an unexpected surprise! They send Birthday Cards every year but they aren't as personal.

I understand, completely, Linds.
When I got the initial ruling from the VA Appeals Committee some 3 weeks ago, I was afraid to
open it. But when I did, I had to read the first 3 pages just to get to their decision. When I saw that it was approved in full, I started shaking all over. If you only knew what I had gone through for almost 4 years.
I was ok, until I called my wife at work. I thought I would be tough, but when she said "hello", I started to simply say, "You won't believe this, I heard from the VA, and they approved it", I started to break down and cry (a very rare thing for me). It was both from happiness and from a tremendous release of
pented up stress. She cried too.
I am very happy for you, I know it was a "life saving" deal for you and your personal finances, and in the end, it all worked out well, and I am glad.

That's so thoughtful of them! (They are thoughtful of your thoughtfulness!) Reciprocal. Great relationship.
Congrats on the unemployment too!
Ahh, a big sigh of relief!!
