I thought it would be fun to see what everyone's ONE wish would be!

That no animal nor child ever be abused or neglected again!

Great question but I'm not good at the "one wish" kind of questions, lol. Just too hard to narrow it down to one!!

Obviously your wish is at the top of my list too.
And that everyone would have food and shelter.
And love.

So, I guess that's my wish? Everyone to have food, shelter - and LOVE.

i guess one wish off the top of my head would be and end to diseases and cancers effecting so many millions of people.

You guys will probably think that mine is selfish, but my one wish is to be in Tennessee with my family, meeting my new nephew for the first time. We would have left yesterday, and arrived down there today. cry

Of course I wish the wishes that you all have listed as well.

Being this is a Chronic Pain Forum, I wish that no one had to ever suffer from chronic pain! And like everyone else I wish an hope that every ones wish would come true! Merry Christmas to everyone in our Chronic Pain Family

I'm not surprised by this wish list! Its pretty darn obvious that we're the most empathetic folks in the world!! Some great wishes here.

Loretta, I'm so sorry you didn't get home for the holidays! I know the feeling well. I've not gotten back to KY either in a few years and with my brothers and sisters being in their 70's and 80's it's a good chance this Xmas could have been my only chance to see one of them.

Unfortunately I dont drive anymore, airfare is ridiculous, and 25 hrs on a Greyhound would kill me!! My daughter had planned to go home this holiday but she got a great job for the biggest law firm here that's a job of a lifetime!! She's only been there 5 months so no vacation, and Xmas being mid-week didn't allow enough time. She works til noon today and returns Thursday? Its a 14 hr by car and they're in bad weather time there. Couldn't risk it so we're shooting for Spring break in March and hoping everyone understanding!

I know you guys dont make a lot like me but can you open a Xmas club account this year and drop every xtra dime you can into it every month? By Xmas next year you'll be that much ahead?

Hoping everyone's dreams come to pass at some level or time!

That's a tough one, narrowing it down to one wish...

I think everyone here has great ideas, and I'm not even sure I could add to them, (they're that great!)

If we couldn't be pain-free, I wish all of us, our pain could be much better managed and without so much drama.

I wish for compassion and understanding, thinking of other people, and they're thinking of us too. What a better place the world would be if we all were able to reach out and help others.

I wish squabbles could be put aside, (so many of us have family members we want to hide from)....

But the biggest thing is management of our lives and relationships without running into so much drama trying to just live our lives in a modicum of comfort.

EDIT: I'm going to make an addendum here to my squabble story because it's an incident where I cannot seem to take my own advice. My Mother and I have been estranged for decades, (though she's stayed in touch with my Husband). When she heard of my BC Dx, she wanted to touch base, and I did try, I did give in, for 2 hours. And like every other time we happen to run into each other, which is extremely rarely, I feel angry and upset and hurt and bothered, and I can't seem to let things go. So I guess my "selfish wish for me" is that maybe some day I can figure out how to process these feelings because they are very raw, very frayed, and if I'm honest, I'm not sure I have a desire to repair them. We have decades of a rather sick and twisted history. I know this isn't exactly "Holiday Spirit" but as long as we're being honest, I figured I'd fess up to this thing in my life.
