Quick question - sciatic nerve pain

I have Sacroiilitis and every once in a while my sciatic nerve acts up. Do you guys know if the sciatic nerve can cause pain to top of the foot as well? I'm trying figure out if this new top of the foot pain is from that or something else.

I had spine injection for sciatica which stopped pain in heel, but I'm not sure about top of foot. That may be a different nerve, although there are several branches of sciatic. In any case, it may be worthwhile to get a spine injection to stop part of the pain and hope the top of foot gets better too.

Thanks Alcie. Usually the sciatic pain goes away in time but this time it's sticking around but it's getting better than it was. The foot pain started about 2 weeks ago. It was really bothering me last night.

Do you feel tingling/pain across the top of your instep, and it wraps down around the arch?

No, it's a sharp achy pain when I walk on it, just in one area of my foot on top....about 3 fingers up from my "ring" toe.

The S1 dermatome runs along that pathway....
