well just got back from my surgeon a little bit ago. not to happy to say the least. just in case ya don't know last november i had a pain pump inplanted in my lower back because of the issues i've been having.
shooting/stabbing pains l4-l5 and left leg, you know the drill. first thing i found out was my pmd DIDN'T SEND MY X-RAY REPORT to my surgeon so he(surgeon) had no idea why i was there. also they wanted to do their
own x-rays to see what's going on. thats fine with me as i was able to have them done right away. another bummer is the fact that i can't get back to see my surgeon for the follow-up for three weeks. though i managed to get on a cancellation list..GGGGRRRRRR,needed to vent i guess. thank you. mad

Mark, what did they decide to do about your pump, the last I read I thought they said the catheter had a kink in it???? Were you being referred back to the surgeon to have a new catheter attached or what?

I'm so sorry to read of the continuation of delays in getting your situation sorted out. Feel free to vent! I think you have the patience of Job. I've been following your journey and I've seen it's been one thing after another.

I thought I remember you posting that your doc discovered there was a problem with your cath, and that's why you weren't actually "getting" the medication? Did that ever develop into anything?

I really do hope things get remedied for you soon!

well my pmd did do the x-ray with the dye and noted that there was a blockage and i mentioned that to my surgeon. i was under the impression that a date to have the surgery would have come from this visit. guess not. i can understand both the doctors being busy of which they both are. what irritated me was
the fact that the x-rays weren't forwarded. well so i wait some more..no, nothing came of the kinked cath. still kinked. and my leg is just as bad as ever. i did ask my surgeon if having a kinked cath would cause a leakage, he said it's possible but no reason to worry. the doseage is small enough that it wouldn't cause a problem. so i guess thats good to know.
