Morton's Neuroma question

Hi all I just had a quick question about morton's neuroma. I've had one on my right foot for about 3 months now. I have gotten the cortisone shot (which only made it worse) and more recently I have gotten the alcohol injections. I first had one roughly 12 days ago and my second one yesterday. After every shot I have been given I have always had pain in my foot when walking a day or two after getting it. I am wondering if it is safe to take percocet to help the pain so I can make it through work. I know that it's an alcohol injection and I know you cannot take alcohol and pain killers, so is it safe to do so? Does it not react that way? Is the alcohol already out of my system?

I've had neuromas and they can be a major pain. Before I had the surgery(I had 4, 2 in each foot), my doc would do the injections. I remember the first time he did them and went to give me a script for pain meds and I was oh, I won't need those. Well 6 hours later as the novacaine was wearing off I called back and said I think I will take those pain meds. The nurse laughed.

The alcohol in your foot has no affect on you so taking a pain med that the doc prescribed is fine. If the doc did not prescribe the pain med, you should call him/her first and make sure it is OK to take them, or to write you something.
