New here and so tired of suffering !

I'm glad I joined here, although I wish you all could help get rid of my pain ! On Saturday, I will be in my last year of my 50's and I am holding on for dear life to be walking ! I fear I will be in a walker soon or possibly a wheelchair.

I suffer so much and my poor Husband gets so tired of hearing me complain and sometimes, when I am cooking dinner, I just break down in tears, I hurt so much. I hate when I cry, but life is so different for me.

I was forced into retirement, I was a Hairdresser, I used to think I was so cute wearing high heels cutting hair, SIGH !

I have a new pain that has started in my hip rotating down my leg, 20 minutes is the most I can stand or my left leg simply gives out and the pain is so intense. I made them give me a script for my hip, an X-Ray for him to talk to be about tomorrow, but I called there last Thursday, when they got the X-ray and the Nurse said they saw nothing alarming, I simply don't understand, this hurts so much.

I was told I have Spinal Stenosis, spelling sorry, so I don't know what to think, but tomorrow, the Doc and me are having a Jesus talk, not just this walking in the room, charging me $125.00 and writing my prescription's.

I was with my last Pain Doc for 5 years and sadly he quit seeing anyone unless you were having epidurals, so I am kinda new to this new Doc, tomorrow will be my 7th month, well actually, it's every 22 days. My last Doc, post dated scripts and I only had to see him every 3 months ! I am for sure on a short leash with new Doc !

My scripts are 5, 30mg Roxicodene spelling again, I don't have bottles in front of me, Gabapentin, 600, mg 3 daily, which are not helping, I am just gaining weight with them, SIGH ! I also take 3, 750 Robaxin as needed, I don't take as often, then my sleeping pill, which I swear by Resteral, 30, mg ! Again sorry for my poor spelling, I'm too lazy to go get bottles.

There are many times, I have taken too many Roxys, when it's raining or is freezing cold, but I have learned if I keep my meds in a weekly holder, I know just how many to take, and I won't allow myself to go over the 5, my other Doc had me on 6 a day ! I quit smoking pot, Jan '13, my other Doctor allowed it, but I took on a challenge, I had smoked for about 35 years and I too, felt it was time to stop. But oh how I wish I could have the pot you take for pain, it wouldn't matter if I got high, but to have relief, OH MY ! It will never happen in Georgia, no way !

Well, I feel I told you all about me, thanks for reading ! One last thing, I have 2 of the most perfect Grandchildren, which I get to be with on my BDay, they live in Kentucky ! I should have been a Grandmother, before I was a Mother, OH GOD, how I love them !!

Welcome to the forum. I'm so sorry that you are having so many problems and that your pain doesn't seem to be managed well. It can be very frustrating and depressing to go day in and day out with relentless pain. We are all here for you though with open arms, hearts, and minds. While we can't cure you or take your pain away, we definitely can empathize with you. I do hope that things get a little easier for you. Just never give up because there has to be something that will help.

Hello and welcome MM to the CP forum at HW! Sorry to hear your pains not controlled and sadly we see this far too often!

I was born and raised in Ky, also have a grandson there but after 50 years and 10 of those as a CPer I could nolonger stand the cold winters and moved to central Florida about 5 years ago!

I have 2 grandaughters as well, one here and one in Texas! Love them to death!!

If you've never kept a pain journal now might be a good time to start! We can't always convey in words what living like this is to us, seeing it, the cause and effects on paper is often more valid to Drs!

As for medical mj, keep your eyes on Florida's election as we won a place on the ballot and they're predicting a winner! A move may be in your best interest should that happen if your truly helped by it.

As Susie said not sure why your not on a LA med after this long as it would likely be more beneficial to you, longer, steadier, smoother coverages, might ask him.

Hopefully you will gain something here to help get you better relief and back amongst the living and enjoying life!
