Yeehaw, you remembered, I didn't. Me & Mondays just do not jive. How many Mondays in a row have I forgotten now, lol. At least one of us remembered. I hope everyone has a good week.

It looks like nobody felt any better than I did this morning. I started to post this mrning but was too weak and tired. It's now 5 PM. That's what nortriptyline is doing to me. I've been trying to cope with the side effects because nothing else has helped for central pain syndrome and this is probably my last resort medicine. I can't seem to get up to a therapeutic level of anything, so I might as well get rid of the side effects and live with the pain. That will at least be an improvement. No pain doc appointment for another 6 weeks.

I'm staying in from the Polar Vortex. I don't even want to drive down the lane to the mailbox. The nice thing about February is the sun comes back. It makes up for the cold, although I'd rather have daffodils blooming like they should be.

Hi I am new- I live in AZ. so pain isn't bad when it is very very hot.....I have times like that....

Weekend was bad for me. Going for MRI tomorrow, going braless so I will not have to take the time to undress. Just want to be done wth this...

I've been really struggling with pain and fatigue the last week or two. I've just been stuck in a cycle of flairs. I ended up skipping class on Friday because I just couldn't do it. I had two online midterms this weekend. They were rough because of the pain and poor functioning of my eye, but I think they went okay.

Been trying to set up an appointment with a pain management doc that my pcp wants me to see for a second opinion/advice, but they haven't called me back. So I need to call them again this week. My pcp manages my pain, but wants me to see this guy so that he can give us feedback about my current med regiment and how best to transition me to a LA med (currently just take short acting meds 4x/day) since I'm a very unique, complicated case. My pcp has already spoken to this doc, and the doc has agreed to see me. But I've had nothing but trouble trying to get ahold of a live person to schedule an appointment.

Also got to make an appointment to have a retro-orbital nerve block done when I come home for spring break in a few weeks. I'm really hoping that that will help break the cycle of this pain flair and "reset" things. I really wish I could have it done sooner, but I'm in no shape to drive 5 hrs home (and another 5 hrs back the next day) to see my doctor right now -- even if I could manage to get away from school. Unfortunately, there isn't anyone up here who can do the block. So I have to wait. I just keep telling myself 3 more weeks, 3 more weeks...

We had really nice weather this weekend -- got up into the 40's. It was a welcome break after nearly 2 months of frigid temperatures and lots of snow. But now it is back into the teens and snowing, and is supposed to be in the single digits and negative numbers at night by Wednesday. A lot of the snow melted this weekend, but I'm sure we'll gain it all back by the end of the week. I love snow, but this cold is really starting to get old!

good day to everyone, hope this day finds you as well as can be. i actually had a pretty decent weekend pain wise. right now i'm on day 4 of not experiencing the nerve pain i'd been having since
i had my first adjustment to my pain pump. which whold be around two months. so i'm happy about
that. though i'm still trying to figure out how having an adjusting and that same night getting a strong dose of nerve pain go together. in my opinion they don't. (any ideas anyone) well march 13th is
getting closer and closer. that's the day i'm have my pain pump replaced. (my current pump has a blockage somewhere so my surgeon is replacing it) last friday i had all my bloodwork done and my doctor
said if you don't hear from us by tuesday i should be good to go...

Doing better.I guess my Sciatic Nerve is starting to go down.

I still start the day with a pretty good flare up but it's a lot easier to get it under control than it was just a few days ago.

I'm still going to a new Pain Management.I'm going to get my Doctor to call the PMC to get a referall sent.

I still have 3 weeks of my Pain Meds,plus another months prescription.

So.I don't really know when I want to go under another Pain Management Doctor's care.

Anyways,hope everyone has a nice,low pain week,

I've been having a rough 2 weeks too, give or take. Made an urgent (earlier than scheduled) appointment with my PMD for yesterday. And for the first time in almost 20 years (give or take), I had a massage. There is a CMT who does work out of an office that's in the same building as my PT. Makes it nice, so it's convenient for them to chit-chat.

Get this: She also does equine massage! That was cool enough in itself that it gave me hope. I'm kind of "funny" in that generally speaking, I do not like to be touched, and I'm very protective of my personal space. I flinch easily.

Except in PT where he can dig right in,....and interestingly, she (the CMT) and I connected quickly enough I didn't need any type of "warming up" or "getting to know you" kind of run-around first. I liked her style, her touch, her approach.

Between this additional and different flare-up going on in my low back (in an adjacent, but new, place, from usual) that's really getting up my craw,...I've been working with my PT 2 x week these past 2 weeks for shoulder, neck, arm, and headache pain I can't manage. Of course, it's on the same side as the BC, so maybe some of it is triggered from the radiation. They told me things would get tighter and constricted, and they told me to expect to get weaker....but I thought they meant all over, not the shoulder and arm.

Who knows, maybe the whole body will start pooping out soon, too. I'm about on schedule.

But that right arm and shoulder, feel like unrelenting spasms and sharp pains, lack of ROM, weakness that is downright silly (things I should be able to lift,--it's my dominant arm, but my left arm is stronger?)

Anyhoo, we'll see how this massage thingie works with my PT thingie for my new shoulder/arm thingie.

This is all new to me.
