So I went to the ER today and after explaining to the Dr what was going on, and an examination he said that I was not far enough along to diagnose me with CES but he was extremely concerned with the timeline and my current state. The Dr. also told me I was a candidate for surgery but at the same time that the surgery's available are a hot topic in the medical field right now as 50% of the Drs. believe it is not advantageous. They only believe (and I believe this dr. was in this group) after the surgery the patient will be the same or worse.
Does all this sound correct? What opinions do you all have on surgery? If not surgery what is the best non evasive treatment? As I have posted in past post this is all new to me and I am not sure which info on all these websites to believe is unbiased, so I would rather hear it from the horses mouth.
This was the worse kind of news I could be given due to all the pain, numbness, and the other things going on with my back now. I will be calling my neurologist in the morning and see if I can get in to see his PA because I know he is on vacation this week.
Anyway keep me in your prayers and I will keep all you in mine
