Hi it's Randy B..

Besides the major bronciectasis infection that I have been fighting since feb 22,2014 my home is being foerclosed on.

My Brother and I bought a new home so My mother,brother and I could be close to my doctors at UNC Chapel Hill. me and my brother both put the down payment down but it's in my brothers name because of my SSDI and other help I receive. Everything was fine for the first 4yr's and then my brother came down with a severe case of small fiber neuropathy and he filled for disability and his attorney told him his case would be approved.. 

My question is Does anybody know of any government agencies that help people that are disabled. My house will have 2 people on disability and a 73 retired person that has health problems. My biggest fear is if we get evicted. We have no way physically of moving...It's been a nightmare. We do have an Attorney thats trying to help us get an extension but what happens when that runs out.....Any help is appreciated Randy Becker  We tried a modification with no luck..

Each state handles these tyes of cases differently. I'm assuming North Carolina? If I'm wrong, let me know. Since it looks like you said you both put a "down payment" on a purchased house, you mean foreclosure as opposed to eviction. I would first start with your bank who you pay your mortgage payments to. Sometimes, they'll allow a seriously reduced payment for a set period of time to allow you to get your health in order and hopefully get back to being in a better financial position. After all, foreclosures cost them a lot of money.

However, if they won't work with your or their plans aren't realistic enough for your situation, you can always contact the North Carolina Foreclsoure Prevention Fund who will point you to the right direction. Just Google them. Hope that helps in any way and best of luck to you and your family!

As long as the payments are meet there is no reason for anyone to evict you. SSDI has no income and resource limits like SSI does. I'm not sure why you were told that if you had only SSDI as income that you couldn't rent/buy/own a home. But as long as you keep up the payment and maintance, etc, there should be no reason for anyone making anyone there move. This is in All States.
