Phil, so we have similar injuries then. You know how much pain a compression fracture can cause. It's crazy that both ours are on the same vertebrae, t9. Yeah, I too try to convince myself that it's not possible to snap in half but sometimes it just feels so close to doing that that I start to get worried, which I'm sure only makes the pain worse. I too also get nauseous a lot. There are times where I wont feel nauseous but all of a sudden out of absolute no where I'll vomit & it usually happens so fast & without warning that a lot of times I'm unlucky and not near the trash can. I know, this might sound really gross, but one night I woke up in the middle of the night and felt like I was going to throw up, so I quickly hopped out of bed and ran for the door to go to the bathroom. I didn't make it, ended up vommiting all over my bedroom door. My husband was sleeping too, I cleaned up as much as I could in the morning he asked why it smelled like throw up. I've tried getting anti nausea medication from my old dr but he wouldn't give them to me, instead he gave me this stuff thats suppose to help digestion. I've never had trouble getting anti nausea medication though. I think I'll bring it up to my new dr about getting some. Hmmm wow, that's interesting, I didn't realize/know that a lot of people with thorasic injuries suffer from nausea & vomiting too. I have always wonder why I have so much nausea, maybe my back injuries is causing it.
Sophia, yes, you have got that right I am in A LOT of pain. Sometimes worse than other, which is to be expected. There are those few days where I don't notice the pain too much, I don't know if it's just not hurting as much or if I'm getting use to the pain. Then there are times where I wake up really stiff, in a significant amount of pain & can hardly get up, those days I end up bed ridden. I noticed how wyou said my insurance will be resetting, I'm assuming you've read some of my other posts/threads. I appreciate that, & that you've remembered about that. I'm not in too much pain at the moment. I took a dose of my pain medication a little bit ago. It's making me super sleepy though, my eyelids are starting to close or at least trying to close. I hate that side effect, I already suffer from super tired levels. I had a real hard time wakin up this morning too.
To the both of you, I hope you guys aren't in any pain today or tomorrow or the next day and so on. That's probably more of a dream/fantasy....not having pain day after day, actually being pain free for days at a time. But no harm in wishful thinking.
((((HUGS))))
