Hi Mercy...and thank you Susie.
The CVS Caremark remark was due to recent controversy about
tramadol, since it hit the local news that they were getting complaints from CVS mailed to the Dr's offices for over-prescribing.
My problem with the nurse was that when I showed up to get my typical re-'script
, (even after calling in on a Friday) she chose to deny the fact that I was somewhat behind in coming in, rather, ignored the truth of my actual dosage...trying to make a point of no business to her.
It made me look bad in front of others in the lobby and put me on the defensive, trying to get her to do the math (to no avail) so I felt like she was playing doctor in public.
What ever happened to the hippocratic oath ?
When I saw the doctor the next day I was under duress, because I had to pay again for another visit prematurely by two months and re-evaluation while subjecting myself to the liar-in-chief before the Dr. spoke to me.
In the end, he had no problem with me taking my actual dosage and even increased my availability without a rescript
requirement in the middle of my next 6 month reauthorization period.
Truth is: she falsified the fact that I was prescribed the amount on the prescript
ion given in the first week of April this year, and I think she was told to do it.
I think the Dr. stayed in the back because he may have actually gotten one of those Caremark letters; he was not apologetic at all, so I think the nurses rendition was entirely overblown due to denial of the facts I presented to her on the bottles. He should have called me instead of my having to wait all weekend, only to necessitate my Monday call and visit with her.
