Hip x-ray can anyone help?

Results of my hip x-rays is: Right hip Small os actabula noted superiorly, everything else was good, then
Impression: Negative right hip x-rays

So would this be RA at work on my hip???

Left hip was normal...
Should I forward this to my RA doctor?

I did a bit of research and you know I'm not a Dr and can't say for sure what this is saying. However, what I did manage to drag up and read, it sounds like it's a loose piece of bone in your hip. I don't think this is RA related at all.

Did you try looking it up on Google or WebMD? Maybe Vickie or Susie can let you know more info on it. So far tho, that's what I've managed to find on the subject. I did also see a video on YouTube where an Orthopedic Dr removed one of these surgically.

I sure hope you get a firm answer on what it is and they can resolve it w/o any surgery for you. Please let us know what you hear from your Dr.

Hey Barbara, Thank you so much for the help, you truly are a good person and if I could get over to you, I would help you with any chores, no questions asked, it would be done. You've helped me out so much it truly is appreciated! Then we could both kick our relatives to the curb (so to speak).

I see my pa for the pm doctor 8th August 2014 (sorry still so used to writing military dates) . She brushed me off at last visit, I said my hip hones hurt on the bone, which is not typical for hip pain but, when I say it hurts it usual is where I say. However, she did ask where my husband was, just didn't go good for me.

Char, I tried to google this & came up with nothing!! I checked my spelling 2 times & had it correct from what you have written here. Is the os an abbreviation?

Sure hope my pm doctor has a clue. But, the wait to August 8 is probably going to get to me...

Going to order some cross stitch...new Nora Corbett witch pixie Ana is out and has a black kitty...

Try Googling os acetabuli.

Os means bone.
Acetabulum is the part of the pelvis that meets the head of the thigh bone.

It's a bit of unfused bone in your hip joint. It causes impingement, kind of getting stuck, when you move the thigh bone.

After I saw how Alcie spelled acetabuli I was able to google it & read up on it. Try not to stress, wait until you see the dr..

Yes your right, not going to stress...one little stitch each day on my cross stitch instead.
