Just so you know, don't think that you will always be able to get pain meds for your pain because you've been told you will need them for the rest of your life. Most Drs are combining other forms of pain mangement with meds so they can stop prescribing stronger meds and in higher doses. You need to see a Psychologist who specializes in helping chronic pain patients manage their pain in non meds ways. There are also things like biofeed back.
With you being so young, you need to reduce what you're taking on your own before a dr gives you no choice. The dr you have now may have no plans to do that. But, drs move, retire and die everyday and another dr has no obligation to treat your pain with the same meds you have been taking.
You also need to remember that Suboxone is primarily used to treat opioid addiction. And even though you may be taking it for pain from this dr. Another dr could classify you as as addict because you take it. And not treat your pain with any opioids or other addicting meds.
