I am brand new to this site pain.
I really think much of my pain etc. (both mental as well as physical) comes initially from an emergency operation at 10 days old for a malrotated stomach in which I was left for dead until my Father grabs me up and drives me to a major hospital in Oklahoma City.
I have many diagnosis, life has been a constant battle. In spite of this I am a retired state social worker after 25 years. I have written 6 books, included one about
bipolar 2. I have been dx for borderline personality, PTSD, leaky gut, severe esophagus problems, irritable Bowl, Diabetic and severe neuropathy in legs, benign tumor on my adrenaline gland, still a partial twist of a gut between my two breast bones, 2 surgeries at c3 and c-5 . 2 shoulder surgeries. I have a nerve stimulator IN my neck and pelvis hurts all the time, after eat I get nauseated Besides all this and more I feel pretty good to be 65. However, I wonder...

Hello Charleshy and I must say your credentials for this club are definitely in order! ! That appears to be a lifetime of pain there yet you seem to have carried on in spite of the hurdles. A Social worker with 6books under your belt is most impressive.
We have an awesome forum along with some great members and I believe you will enjoy sharing your experience here and have lots to offer.
Welcome to the HW family!

Hello & welcome to the chronic pain forum. Every person that comes here has a story to tell & all are unique in their own way.
As the others stated we do have a great forum. Pain is something everyone here can relate to & understand where you are coming from. We do have several other forums that many of us visit, so please feel free to check those others forums out too.
Take care.

Welcome Charlesshy,
Sounds like you may have some good advice to share with folks. I think the hardest part of chronic pain is the mental aspect and in dealing with people who have no idea what real pain is, and the effects of constantly being sick.
I look forward to your insight!
