Roxicodone

What a lot of people are running into these days is having alot of these drugs available. Some folks like this particular med & some didn't. You know its such a mixed bag there is no way of knowing until a person actually tries a medication. Pain mgt is trial & error.

I have military insurance and I have never, ever had a medication denied, knock on wood. One thing you do get for your many years of service is excellent health care. I thank heavens every day for it.

Hey BTL...I have no experience with that particular drug.  My hope for you is that you can find a specialist willing to look more deeply to find the cause of your pain.  I know how hard it is to find the right doctor.  But I worry about your trying these meds which could "scramble" your pain receptors, before you've really had the opportunity to get results.  I don't mean to repeat myself, but aren't you less than 2 months post op?  Sweetie, if I'm correct on that, your body has not had time to process the trauma of a hysterectomy. Surgeons often "cut and run", especially with hysterectomy.  My email is available if you need to talk.  I'm trying to "shorten" my responses, which is difficult.

Isn't roxy the same as Oxycodone? That's what I've been told when inpatient.

M&G - no, I do not have supplemental insurance. We have a fairly high deductible though, but with three kids and me, we always meet that in about 6 weeks.

Dixie, I appreciate your concern, and yes, I am about 6 weeks post-op. But I'm pretty sure I'm healed from the surgery. I had the surgery to relieve the pain I still have. If anything it's gotten worse since the surgery. My doctor's (gyno) diagnosis was completely off. I did get a second opinion but (and I will never do this again) told the 2nd opinion doc what the first doc said. So the second doc said he agreed with the first. *shrug*

My father is a veteran and his military coverage we wish had the coverage you speak of.

We aren't retired, though - I think that active is better than retired because they think that retired members have supplemental insurance, I think. All I can say is that I personally cannot complain, when I get all the bills and I owe $0.00, as someone else said.
