new member with decision of lead revision

I developed CRPS in my left arm after an injury in 2012, and long story short, after many treatment attempts I had a cervical scs implanted in jan. 2014 after a very successful trial. I seem to have no shortages of challenges since my diagnosis and my most recent is a very nasty fall while working out that fractured my left arm again and pulled my leads out of place approximately 1.7cm (I have had imaging of my leads regularly because I am fascinated with the process).

Today they tried to reprogram me without any success of the coverage I had before my fall and came to the conclusion a lead revision would be the only way to obtain the pain reduction stimulation I had before. This may be premature as I have no details as to what the surgery would entail, but I had a very hard surgery recovery the first time and am a bit concerned about having to go through that again. Has anybody had this done? Was it worth it?

Welcome Ay to Cp at HealingWell! Glad you joined us and very sorry to see your having issues with something that worked! As Laura stated there are many factors involving revision and how successful or complicated they may be.

I have seen times they get in there and it's simply easier to remove and start over then repair if the damage Is great and that's something the Surgeon wasn't even expecting. Its a decision your going to have to weigh out and see if the benefits out rank the risks of another bad post op.
