Hydrocodone payment doubled

I was wondering if anyone else noticed this, now that the laws have changed?

I have kaiser insurance. I picked up my script yesterday, and the price for generic hydrocodone went from 5 to 9.42. It made me go hmmmmm.

Pharmacies had to return their stock of hydrocodone labeled under Class III and get new stock with the Class II labels. Inanity courtesy of the DEA.

All of my prescriptions have gone up too. My insurance company just started their new fiscal year and our deductible has to be met, but they're still more expensive than they were the last time the FY rolled over.

My Baclofen more than doubled in price & when I asked the pharmacist why, its the mfg that determines the price. Where I get my rx's filled they are like Walmart with their preferred list of meds you can get for like $4 for certain meds. My Baclofen went from $4.68 for 90 pills, to $14.47.

Mine haven't changed but I don't take Hydrocodone. Perc $20, Nucynta $25, Fentanyl $60, Soma (100 Qty.) $20. I run about $125 for meds and $40 for copy so $165 per month.

Your insurance may be covering the increase so you don't feel it. My pharmacy (Target) and most others will show you the full price in small print and what your insurance paid - this is where you may see the increase in your case.

I'm not surprised because there is now more cost connected to ordering, stocking, filling, etc it because it is a Schedule II.
