no one knows what kind of Dr I need to see for this

I will try to keep this short.
I have severe nerve damage in my arm after an IV infiltration that burned the inside and outside of my arm. I have been treated for the skin, and in PM for the pain, but I have no official dx, other than "nerve pain". I have been to my neurologist who handled my seizures but he had no idea. My GP says He'll order an EMG but doesn't know what to do after that. PM says its probably the axialary(sp?) nerve but no real dx or treatment other than meds(nerve block only helped 24 hours.)
Now that I've had shoulder surgery on the opposite arm, the issues are really flaring up.
in my pt eval, my grip is 20lbs in effected arm and 50 in right arm(pre sugary). I"m dropping things constantly, my arm and hand gets cold, muscle pain and weakness, etc.

But none of my dr's know where to send me for help.
My guess would have been the neuro but he said he just does the brain and spine really.

I really think neuro. They don't just treat the brain and spine per se, the whole nervous system, so if your issue is in peripheral nerves they'd still be the right specialty - I *think*. You may have to find a sub-specialty in neurology, but I think that's the right umbrella. Others probably know better but that is my under educated guess.
