pain from nerve block in surgery

i had a nerve block placed in my neck before my shoulder surgery the 8th, and it was pulled 3 days later.
My neck is still very sore and its different from the shoulder/surgery pain.. I can tell its from the block. Its this normal?
Im just so tired of pain, especially pain from something made to relieve pain...
