Hello,
Previously posted about the problems I'm having with my ankle, had a severe sprain 3 months ago.
A few days ago the Ortho sent me for an MRI which showed a partially healed avulsion fracture and a partial-thickness tear in the Achilles tendon. Mild narrow edema and thickening of a ligament.
The Ortho (before the MRI) said the pain I'm having is not normal at 3 months from the injury, the pain is in my ankle, outer side of left foot, on top, underneath and also on the inner part of my foot.
To be honest this Ortho is awful, my PT told me she has had several patients sent to her from this Dr and he makes mistakes quite a lot, he is just arrogant and doesn't seem to care.
I guess my question is does anyone know what the treatment is for the partially healed fracture and the tear?
Ortho told me to walk on my foot when I honestly thought it was way too soon, the pain is there all the time and I end up limping very soon after walking.
Going to ask my PCP for a referral for a 2nd opinion but just wondering if anyone has any thoughts?
Just don't want to make all this worse.
Thanx for any advice.
